Manuel Mueller-Frank, Ph.D. Professor of Economics

My research focuses on game theory and the economics of information. Most of my past work concentrates on the diffusion and aggregation of information. I extensively analyzed this in the context of social learning and aggregation procedures/mechanisms. My current main research objective is to apply game theoretic tools to improve the understanding and design of blockchain systems and decentralized applications.
I am teaching courses on blockchain and cryptocurrencies, managerial economics and global economis in the MiM, MBA, Executive MBA and other executive education and custom programs.
Prior to joining IESE, I spent three years as a postdoctorial research fellow at Nuffield College, University of Oxford. I received my Ph.D. in economics from Northwestern University and a diploma in economics from the University of Bonn.
